APV options? 2008 M 1000

220 miles and i broke a cable,.The other one is frayed really bad too. Any ideas as to how to stop this from happening!! Any other options Supreme tools valves maybe? If there is a simple fix running stock i,m all for that, but if it,s an issue i will go to something else. 2200 oiles on my 600 and changed 1 cable on it so is it a routing issue , bad cables or what??

I have over 5500km on mine and no issues yet. And i havnt changed them from stock at all. A bad cable maybe.

Got 1 cable todaay. (shipping othe rone tomorrow ) I asked if this was an issue on these sleds. " No we don,t have any problems with them" So i asked how many they stocked?? Stock 3 of each side LOL. Oh so it is a bit of a problem then!! I have a Y pipe and an SLP can they figure it was a heat issue. Cable looked like it was cut where it broke though. Nice and clean no frayin, like i took a set of side cutters to it. I have the sides vented and Wildchilds speedo relocater vent. 2200 miles on my 600 one broken cable. 220 miles on the 1000 1 broken and the other on it,s way. $ 72.00 a cable hope this pattern doesn,t continue. New cables every 250 miles means 3 or 4 sets a year OUCH. I will look hard at the routing and try some heat tape or such. With any luck this set will go 2000 miles!!!!!!

I probably have 700 on my sled and no issues (hmm, speedo resets its mileage every start up).

Only sled cables I ever changed was Polaris throttle cable and once an end pulled off my throttle lever of my T cat.

I think that your cables were previously damaged and I'd call the Dealer and ask if there's anyway they would supply new cables. They won't give themn to you unless you ask.
