Woke up to bluebird skies this morning. -3 and no wind. Couldn't be a more perfect day after the snow we got. Hopefully it stays like this through the weekend. Bbtoys is up Renshaw today. Took his camera, so hopefully he remembers to take some pictures.

just got back and there was a good 16 inches at the cabin, a bit more over the backside. Snowing to hard for pic's so came home early. ride tomorrow under blue skies with any luck.
trail was in so so shape, better than no groom at all.
If you want to park at 2 km you should get there early as it filled up and so did the parking at 05 km.

How far up the trail does a guy have to go for snow and is it a 4X4 only trail??

Belle snow is at the 5 km parking lot. no dirt from there to the top. trail in good shape.
Renshaw parking at 2 km and not much snow on trail to about 7 km. no parking after 2km on this trail. trail is rough
Lucille not sure but will let you know tomorrow.
All 3 can be accessed with a 2 wheel drive but Renshaw has a soft spot at about 1.5 km. you will make it with 2 wheel drive.

Rode Renshaw for the first time this past saturday. One word: MASSIVE.
Our group stayed at Barry and Judy's place and had the whole house to ourselves!! What hospitality. It truly was a luxury weekend staying with them. Im now ruined for staying in hotels when i come to McBride.

4th is of the only carnage. A busted shaft on my shock. Although it was almost a more expensive day for me as my sled decided to ghost ride down big bell, but i got lucky..... Barry came flying out of no-where and would have caught it had it not got caught up in wind-drift.

How is the trail from km 2? Can we drive up any further? Still grooming? We are heading up on Thurs and riding the Renshaw for 3 days if conditions are good. :d

grooming is done, no place to turn around past km 2, and the snow is very patchy from 2 to 8.

Me and my buds had a riot on Saturday. Great snow, great weather and a bunch of getting stuck. Managed to go over the bars a few times. Haven't did that in a few years and forgot how much it hurts! Still nursing my sore muscles.

Re: April Conditions

Back to the alpine for a 1/2 day as some friends showed up to ride. Great day again except for my brain fart as i got to close to the side of the trail and almost slid off. But +20c and bluebird made up for any pain. Higgins.
