I just got the word from my dealer that my sled is shipping this week and now its got me wondering if there is anywhere a guy can ride in the summer??? Alaska?? anywhere in bc?? has anyone done summer riding?
Not sure on Cats warranty but BRP 's starts on Dec. 1st for units picked up before that date Dave.As soon as you take possession your warranty starts.....I would wait until 15 min before your first trip in the fall/winter....but that's just me.

Ahhh ok...I always void the warranty before it leaves the dealer anyways...so I never really pay attention...hahahaNot sure on Cats warranty but BRP 's starts on Dec. 1st for units picked up before that date Dave.
There is a sale date and a pickup date on the registration to the manufacturer but BRP does not penalize you for that as December is a universal snow month pretty much everywhere (prairie and mountain). Any riding done before December is free. I'm pretty sure the other manufacturers are the same. There's no inservice date ( within a few days from the paperwork and pickup dates ) ?

I guess the hardest part to riding in the summer is getting access to the snow line. Like mentioned earlier, glaciers are a good start but getting there is a problem. Last year couple of Calgary die hards were down to the Koots and rode Harvey but that won't happen this year. With the warm April weather and the rain, the snow is pretty much gone. There was snow at the new cabin last year in early August and it is gone already this year. Go figure......
Meadow Mountain had a bad culvert washout end of may, not sure if it is repaired yet.Lots of riding in BC in July! I've ridden Boulder in July, and Meadow Mountain, North of Kaslo in August. And there's always water cross. There are not too many legal events in Canada, but there is a huge circuit in the States
