Had fun this morning headed to Wye Road... A-Henday average speed after going under the Whitemud was about 20-30 Km/h. Took a snap shot of my speedo and the traffic. Was nuts, people already forgot how to winter drive already... Cars everywhere in the ditch. Friggin Motorist n00bs!!

I'll upload pics later. Who else found 'emselves in slow central this morning? :d

Ummm where have you been all winter if you think people EVER learn how to drive winter or summer? Drivers in alberta are so terrible it's not even funny. The moment a flake of snow or rain hits the road there's a 1000 people in the ditch. Or even in the summer....

Goes back to my thought of where the heck did these people get there license from.
The test is way too easy, don’t have the answer for how everyone can get the experience, but I did and my kids did, started driving about 11 or 12 on the farm….my daughter at 16 could change her own oil, tires actually knows where the engine is and some basic functions ……had driven quads, motorcycles, snowmobiles, 100 hp diesel tractors and skid steers….park a tractor pulling cultivator and harrows a few times …….so when she went to do her driver’s test she wasn’t nervous and had some abilities under her belt….actually laughed at the instructor when he asked if she had any experience backing up and parking….

Oh my other personal opinion… every driver taking their test should have to pass driving in a stand transmission vehicle. The function of learning how to shift properly and drive makes for better drivers, you actually have to listen to and feel the vehicle not to the radio or Ipod.

Another reason why if properly handled kids should drive quads and snowmobiles long before 16, how absurd is it to expect a 16 that on one side isn’t supposed to (and the legislation is coming) drive an atv or sled but get go out and get a drivers lic….assuming that the parents re-mortage their home to pay the insurance bill.

There would be a lot more people taking public transit if I was the instructor….
