As more people ride this sled in technical terrain they will be amazed at how well it behaves and how smooth and predictable it is. Those that want to just point and shoot in open areas might think they need more but this sled will get you wherever you need to go and best of all ..... no mechanical, electrical or tuning messing around, just ride. Did change the riser to the Expert version last night as that’s about the only beef so far. BRP and there network have done a great job on this sled. Thanks to the after market turbo program for getting them interested.

Rode Renshaw yesterday and was smiling all day at the performance of this turbo. To me it feels like it’s making more than 165hp, when the boost kicks in and you hold that throttle down it pulls like a 747. I was rocketing up hills with 80kmh track speed. Limiter strap on loose and it is party time. Definitely not a sled for a novice rider, it pulls hard and keeps going.

Throttle response is great, power is awesome. Fuel consumption is heavy, bring as much extra as you can carry, she drinks it fast if your boosting lots, I burned a whole tank in a few hours and the snow wasn’t that deep with vis on and off.

Overall, well worth the money, my arms are sore as hell, it can be a handful to hold onto. Well done Skidoo!

my findings aswell. If thats only 165 hp then the guys claiming 200 are full of it.

For the guys with time on these sleds my number 1 question is clutch and belt temperature. I haven’t heard of the belt issues for a couple years now so clearly they have made changes. I want to know that you have rode it like it’s stolen and no blown belts. Also do these things come with an adjustable rear shock like the expert does I can see the limiter adjustment but not a great angle on shock.

yep i rode it like it was stolen for 2 days in deep snow lol! i was impressed the new belt temp alarm didn't go off. I did some 60+ second pulls and nothing. i still need to load it up in a deep sidehill for a couple minutes and see what happens. Where i ride in valemount its generally colder and the snow is much drier. I would be curious as to what the Revy/sicamous guys are saying with some of the wet heavy dumps and warm temps they get. Im thinking some belt alarms will be going off.

as for the rear shock its junk. HPG standard shock. Really wish they would have put the remote reservoir KYB in the rear track shock. It does the job but doesnt have any adjustability. Will likely be some guys first upgrade.

Hopefully they release it in the full expert package so it comes with the better suspension setup

My belt temp while ripping around for 15 mins as long as my arms could hold out, was 45-50c, same as the engine temp.

Maxwell, ya I agree, she is making power up top. 200hp would be nutty, almost too much for anything technical, only good for straight up hill climbs.

Wont make power at sea level. Even on the trail it doesn’t feel as wild as up top. I think it’s letting a bit more boost by when the elevation increases is how I felt.

Best dyno is the one that you fellas are reporting from riding it compared to the non turbo 850 !!

I am pretty sure Brp marketing would take credit for extra hp.

Basically what we figured, 4psi starting from sea level.
See how much legs the little hair dryer has.

If you want more HP just go aftermarket.

Does the display have intake air temp or boost pressure?

Be interesting to see if there is any derate in the warmer temps.

Trying trying to sell a used sled for $15-18k is tricky.

Used aftermarket turbo sleds take a beating because the guys that can afford them just buy new.

With the state of the economy not alot of people floating around with $15-18k cash........

Realistically it has depreciated by half in two years if still in good condition...less if not in good shape.
