Pretty tough to get a handle on the skill level of the riders on the Lucille trail. Next time no guiding (never got thanked for it anyway although I stayed until all sleds were out and back to the cabin), they can play at the cabin...

Live and learn! You'll know better for next time, it's harder to tell how good of rider you are with when there is only 6" of snow on the ground compared to when there is 2-3ft.

Hey Bowen..I dont mean to sound rude or unthankful, but we did tell you that this was our first trip to the mountains. And You asked if you could join us riding because your buddies were riding in Valemont. No one blamed you for anything that happened...But we didnt want to go any further than the butterfly, and you wanted to drop into the next furthest bowl. Im not posting this to argue, and I very much appreciate that you helped us to the very end. You did get thanked also..even went to the giggling grizz after the fact and laughed over a beer with you. So please dont say otherwise. We all know better for next time. You really disapointed me man, honesty is the best policy and so far all you've said on here about us is BS.

Here's a picture from my first mountain trip on a 97 XC 600 tripple 136x2 in the butter fly. Needless to say the guys that took me on that trip not so nice and brought me in there. I filled my shorts when i hit that climb out as fast as i could get that 600 to go and i made it.

LOVE THE PIC MAN!:d:beer::beer::beer:

I dropped in the butterfly with a snopro 440 a few years back. You should have seen the run I had to take to get out! I ended up taking the shoot out cuz it didn't have enough cajones to make it out the other way. Good thing for 2'' studs! Was a very entertaining May long!:d Now this year I made it out another way. There is a chute to the far left of the normal way out. Had to give the new Cutler stroker, oops I mean M7 with twin pipes;), a challenge. What a hoot! It is not a route for the faint of heart. Had to do some dancing at the top.

Here's some more. One is a view of the Dore Valley. Been going for ten years and this is the farthest we have been. You could see the glacier the heli-skiers go on in the distance. I missed getting a pic of it in all the excitment. Very cool.:d

What are the chances of a MXZ 136" x 1.75" 800cc getting out of the Butterfly, assuming similar conditions and experienced rider?

if theres some tracks and not and a good base you will get out. 1-1.5 feet of fresh and it could be a challenge.

Here's the drop in to the Larva.

I've never been into Larva but i think i have a pretty good idea where to drop in, i was talking with the lady at Mountian Motorsports and she said it's really nice back there and her husband spents most of his time riding back there. She gave me her card to call him up the next time we're in town for him to show us where to go. What's the next valley called "billygoat" or something like that. Supposed to be good in there as well. I need to broaden my horizions we spend 99% of our time on Renshaw.
