Been thinking about moving out that way (currently live downtown van) and don't know much about living in Squamish, or anyone that lives there!

Are there any neighborhoods that are better than others? Any areas I should avoid (i.e. does Squamish have a surrey?)

I'm going to look for either a 3 bedroom house to rent or a room in a house for now (as long as it has a garage for the toys), and who knows maybe one day i'll buy property and make it a permanent home.

Could probably spend 1800 for a 3br house or 600-700 for a room in a big house with garage.

Hey man, send a PM to pancake. He lived there for quite awhile and was an avid sledder. fs

I already know that sledding is unreal there. that's where I ride anyway .. just want to cut out the 45 minute commute to get there this season :D

years ago when we were living in N.Delta we were seriously considering moving to Squamish as my wife's grandparents owned the large double wide trailer park there. We spent several weekends scouting the town and found it to be a nice place and were close to buying a house there. Anyway, we ended up moving back to the interior instead. But to answer your question I think you will not regret moving there despite housing costs have dramatically increased since we were looking. Good luck
