Planning on a ride near the end of november in Valemount, depending on the conditions. anyone know if there is a date or any type of limiting factors in that area? Thanks

I am not completely sure on this but I don't think so, I would ask Depsnolvr, he would know all about Valemount and area. We are heading down December 16th and we are good to go so I can't see the end of November being any different other than snow conditions of course!

As JDMotorhead mentions Depsnolvr will likely respond to this thread as he is with VARDA, the non profit society that manages all the groomed trails. As far as I know the only restriction is to respect any locked gates. The main trail to Allen Creek is usually closed in late November to allow snow to accumulate for a better base to build for the season. There is an alternate route that requires more advanced riding skills than does the main trail.

The worst part of early season in Allen is the creeks, they can be a little tricky till they fill in with snow. I have good luck at the 3rd week mark. Come on SNOW!!!!
