I am looking at this sled to possibly buy and am going to go look at it after work today but was wondering if anyone could tell me for sure what track size this is??

Also they are asking $6900.00 for this sled its a 2007 summit 800.
I beleive this is a good price.....right? It is a low mileage machine.

Any help on track size or what exactly do I measure to figure out the track size??

Does anyone know anything in particular I should look at when I see this machine to see if it was mistreated??

DEFINETLY IS AN ADRENALINE FROM 07, SURE LOOKS LIKE A 144 TRACK, AS
TO SHAPE, IF YOU ARE BUYING BASED ON THE PICS SUPPLIED,IT LOOKS OK,
BUT BUYER BEWARE. MAYBE IF THEY SEND YOU SOME OTHER ANGLES, CLOSE UPS, BUT A PERSONAL INSPECTION IS STILL THE BEST RECOMMENDATION. PRICE IS NOT BAD.
GOOD LUCK
GOOD RIDING

Bring someone who knows sleds and motors...a compression test is always good to do. Look for signs of damage like cracks in the metal, places where it may have taken a really hard hit and snoop around under the hood for anything that looks wrong. Then tip it over and look for the same things on the underbody. There a great sled and that a good price.

07's lost alot of motors. In my opinion buying a 07 summit is risky. Find an 06 summit. Best year of summit to get.

I found the same sled for $7500 and I thought that was a great deal and it had 1000km. As far as the motor thing it may still be on warranty. I love my 06 rev, but I would not shy away from a 07...for the right price.

track size will be on tunnel, its 144 or 151, either would be good, I loved my 151,

yes its a adrenaline, the suspension on the X or XRS is much better but that is still a great sled.
is it a rental? price sounds a bit too good as hard is that is to say? if you call the number and it says to e-mail or its a pager its a scam, theres some fawckers listing toys for to good to be true prices and they get ya to send some money for deposit or shipping and ya never here from them again.

if its in Cowtown Jay I would be happy to come take a look with ya because if it is true she is a good deal, how many miles?

IMO if the engine has not blown as of yet and the owner claims no belt issues I would not worry, as well all 2007 800rs had 2 year warranty so it may have warranty until nov or dec this year.

XRS's and and some X's blew motors, not so much later production adrenalines. Same with the clutching stuff. It was the Clutches they had on the 'special' models that caused issues mostly.

the only problem 07 had to my knowledge was the oil pumps on some were not primed, but if it lasted this long then i dont see any problems with it:)

That is definately a 144 because it has 6 tie down points on the tunnel and the 151 had 8, The sled looks clean from the pic, 6900 is a good price it's well below what the black book says for a clean 07. but Imo find a 06, there are too many unknown issues with the 07, mine old 07 had alot of clutching problems but it ran strong when I got it clutched properly, the next problem was the crank failures it doesn't matter what model summit you have the crank will fail, but it may have a new engine in it already and would definately be worth purchacing at that price.

Thats a pretty good deal for an "07.. Thats what they are going for down in the states aswell pretty much.. The Issue with the "07 motors was that the line going to the center of the crank was not primed properly from the factory and could air lock.. And in the center of the crank is where the drive gear is for your oil pump and water pump.. It's a plastic gear meshing with a metal gear, so no oil in there means it's not going to take long for the plastic gear to fail.. So if you got 400+miles on it then it's a good motor.. Also With that motor you are able to put the 860 kit on it and it works very well, and responds well.. But yes we also changed clutching.. But look at the bulkhead behind the clutches to make sure it's straight there and also along the mag side (between the rewind housing and exhaust can) make sure straight there also.. This will tell you if the fr end is bent..

Thanks for all the info guys!!!

The sled had 500 kms on it, looked in great shape, but was sold in less than 8 hours once they posted it on the internet!!!!!!!!! Damn!!

They posted it Friday morning, I left work at five and went straight there and it was already sold.....D@MN it!!!

But after hearing all of the comments maybe I will start looking for an 06, I guess the good news is that I found this one buy accident, wasn't planning on spending money until had a couple more months to save up.

I just noticed this ad on Autotrader... the reason for a low price is because it's a Repo shop selling it.
