Got my seat back a little while ago and very happy with the work, raised the seat about 3 inches taking the saddle out, expanded the trunk (the small amount that is possible. Put a non slip top on and a carbon fibre looking insert in the side, looks great, rides great very happy! Thanks Volker Upholstery !

but at what cost? im curious because the new boss seats are only 400$

It was $300. All new material, added foam, about a 10 day turn around. I thought about the Boss a lot but this is a little cheaper and I like the fact I still have the factory shape for the gas can, since Boss dicntiued their hardtail series for this sled I beleive. Volker writes the date on the bottom of the seat and signs it then if there are any issues with the stitching etc he will fix and no sending out to get any repairs done, quick, good quality, I'm happy

Looks good. But personally I'd get a Boss. Have one on my XP and I love it. Way better then the stock seat for comfort and storage

hes talking about the boss i think.

either way. wrong LOL

did he shave any foam off the sides?

the stock seat is way to wide and you are bow legged when standing.

Great thing about Volkers work is he can customize your seat. He made a bunch of custom mods to my Boss seat. And with Bosses troubles over the years, not sure I would buy another one.
