its better with the rubber on it. I find that the ice sticks to the metal. I have a set with no rubber and it wrecked my track.

3 seasons with aluminum 8" wheels, no rubber. No marks on my tracks either. Get ones that are radiused at the outside edges. Got mine from Mountain Machine Performance (MMP).

Yep, What ZRrrr and Summitric said. 8" alum no rubber, no damage and no snow build up. I got mine from Tricked Toys in Collingsworth, Ont. He can make just about anything you want too.

ok everybody, been talking to people with high hp, low hp and stock. 14 people in total. In all honestly, did you notice a difference when you installed you big wheel kit from stock? These 14 people did not notice any difference. Very confused now. HELP

I installed 2 inside aluminum wheels without rubber....there awesome. no damage!!! didnt notice any difference with the bigger wheel but i did notice the difference in only 2 wheels! I removed all my boogie wheels and found it was easier sidehilling due to the track seemed to be able to flex on the outside two inches......good luck

Noticed a very slight decrease in rolling resistance (like very slight :D), only when pulling track by hand and the decrease was probably just in my head to justify the $200 I spent. Didn't notice any on snow performance difference other than my wheels seem to throw a bit more snow up compared to solid wheels with no cut out spaces in them. So basically, no, didn't see any difference on the snow. But at least they look cool when its on the trailer.....

:D

Thanks everybody! I guess I'll have to do some more thinking about it. There's no doubt they look AWESOME.

Was at Edmonton show this year, and noticed that billet wheels seemed to be the big thing. Reading the posts I can't really decide whether to spend 400 bucks (2 wheels and an axle) if it is not going to make much of a difference! Confused!!!!
