the hiway mtce company for 3/4 of the hiways in alberta is owned by a large u.k. Company, and they've filed for bankruptcy.... The ndpee govt has paid them a bunch of money to continue road maintenance until their contract is up later this year .... Another sad ndpee situationnothing left in the budget.

Used to have that.Carillion Canada recieved money from the Alberta govt to pay their bills.
Makes me wonder if a Govt run highway maint program would be better than contracting it out. Since Ive moved to Alberta, 1 thing Ive noticed is they do not know how to plow snow out here, nor do they prepare the highways in preparation for a storm.
