Folks, can I get the airbox out without removing the fuel tank?
It looks possible but tight, very tight.

There is a tab on the side of the air box by the secondary. The air box splits into two pieces. Push the tab and pull out the back half of box towards left side.

It just slides past the secondary clutch after releasing the tab

I drilled a hole in mine and used a key ring to grab the box

Makes it so much easier

Thanks fellers!!
Worked like a charm....
This information sure would have come in handy on the side of the mountain with a buggered throttle cable!!

I remember when I got my XP for the first time..

I was cussing and swearing.. "how the hell can they build the airbox so tight that you can't even get it the boots off the carbs.. LOL

Then I searched on the subject.. Then I thought... wow, now they actually thought this out. LOL
