A-Arms & Shocks

Well I am in the final stages of morphing my crossfire into a M8. Does anyone know where I can get a set of decent aftermarket m series a-arms and front shocks? BDX is really the only place I know of that has a-arms. Are there any others? And the shocks, what is a nice shock to run that isn't too terribly expensive? I just have the original standard coil shocks that came on it.

Yeah I actually came across that kit shortly after I posted. Its a lot of money but I like how it comes with shocks, spindles, a-arms and everything. Literally just bolt stuff up and give'r.

I have them on 2 sleds. What I really like is the tighter turning radius.

And in your opinion its worth all that money? I am really starting to lean on ordering a kit.

Well now, that's a different question. Depends what you're looking for I guess. Two of my sleds came with them. They drop weight and tighten your turning radius, but I honestly don't see much of an improvement in handling. Would I spend the money if they hadn't come that way? Probably not. My M7 still has the stock front end and it's staying that way. Not enough weight loss or handling improvement for me to justify it. But if you're doing the front end anyway like you are to turn your sled into an M, I probably would. Buying the stock Cat parts won't be much cheaper, and a fair bit heavier.

Now Timbersled's rear suspension is a different story. I have three of those, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed it. It's that good! :D

Yeah that's why I am kinda leaning towards the timbers sled kit. Dealer parts are soo expensive. I ordered a 09-11 tunnel conversion from terra alps complete with led taillight for less than half of what it would have cost me through the dealer

Check out Z Brozs site, Zollinger brothers in the states that hillclimb race and develop suspension packages. They build their own shocks (ARS...?). Also, there is K mod. Looks real promising, teamed up with Raptor shocks. Good luck!
