99 670x wont start?

Started ok today, took an easy ride on her, went to load on truck and 1/2 way up ramp it died. It was starting 2nd pull every time up till now. I am getting a spark and fuel, after about 10 pulls it will grumble a bit but die.
Any ideas out there?

Maybe flooded? Hold throttle wide open but be ready to let off once it fires and keep it reved up just under engagement (2500 - 3000 rpm?) until it cleans out or put it up on a stand and clean it out

Tried 1st thing today...backfired and still would not go. I cursed at it and tried again this afternoon...started first pull. A buddy of mine said check the teather to make sure the chip is connecting with the post. It was a little dirty, so that may have been the prob.
