Why bother. I ran my 700 to 5500 miles and it always ran like a top. Unless it's running like a cat or a doo just driver!:d

You are less than halfway to a rebuild on that motor. I rebuilt mine at 7500 miles and it was still like new. I replaced the pistons and rings at that time just because I had it apart but they were still within spec.

If it blew up or was very tired, Yes I would but At that many miles it's still good.
:):) But If you want more power, install 700 jugs, piston and head.Pipe is the same and all you need is jetting .Carb slides are better than 700 slides .When your motor is shot go with this settup as it rocks.

Unless it it hard to start when its hot, I wouldn't worry about it. When you notice that its harder to start when it gets hot, then you need to start looking at the top end because the rings are likely starting to get to the wear limit. Hard starting when hot is a telltale sign of rings, which means you should look at the top end.

Otherwise, ride it!!!! :)

I rebuilt my doo at 5000 at about $600 in parts the only reason i did it is due to mileage .cheap insurance and its easier to doit before it blows.
