if the electrical plugs are the same it will work yamaha is bad for changing the plugs from year to year

whats the problem no spark ? It's the trigger on the stator need to test with a ohm meter when I get home I can get you more info
I have a part number for a trigger saves buying a new stator more money for beer

no problem, have an extra 2000 cdi. i have a good running 98 just wondering if the 2000 will work in place of the 98. also have a guy needing the 2000 cdi

I think the only diff. Is the plug in on the wiring harness.

I could be wrong, but I think that I an am correct with that statement from when I had to buy one last year that seemed to be the difference between the 2000 and the '99/98
