Done a search but didn't get a solid answer.

Putting an 860 in this year and wondering about clutching. Have a DJ QR11 helix and his ramps. What springs are you guys running in the primary and secondary? Had the purple/pink in the primary and purple/purple in the secondary and it worked well with the stock motor.

Sent Joey an e-mail and just waiting to hear from him.

running a 160/360 pri spring, with the stock secondary spring. 160/360 or 380 rings a bell if i remember correctly with as much weight as she will pull. Ask me in 2 or 3 months when i pull mine out and go through the clutches.

What did ted recommend for clutching? He claims that he is up in the mtn's all the time testing and tuning so you'd think he should have a pretty good idea of what works with his kit. If i remebr right the last one i did had the qr11 helix w/ stock spring, and a blue/blue primary spring and as much weight in rollers at it'll pull i just dont remeber what the pin weight was off hand.

Haven't asked Ted about the clutching ...told me before that he clutches differently than Joey. I love the DJ kit and want to stick with that.

Yah thats the funny thing about clutching you can have two sleds clutched totally different and they will both work equally well. There are always lots of different opinions and ways to clutch a sled and you can have several that work almost the same.

Just looking through my notes i found

160/380 spring
2mm oversize rollers (19grs.)
410 ramps, probably gonna switch back to 413 or 415

Dalton 46/44 helix, switch to shockwave last year and roughly the same approx 45/46
stock secondary spring, i replaced it as the origional one was weak.

And a good skidoo belt. I tried the ultimax and gates. Gates worked ok, ultimax not so much.

Run what you have and add 2 or 3 grams to the pins. I went to Joey's 160/380 spring as well. His ramps/helix like to be on Clicker 4 or 5 in the mountains. I can't remember my pin weight off hand, but it will be less than most people due to the 174 track and the 274 rider...LOL.
