86 honda fourtrax

have an 86 honda fourtrax that caught fire due to oil tank leaking am looking for parts for this machine have found 86 honda foreman that a guy wants to sell for parts what is the difference between a foreman and a fourtrax if any main concern is if the wiring harness is the same any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

I am not 100% positive about this so maybe someone can confirm or set us both straight.

The Fourtrax refers to quads vs ATC which was for the trikes.

Fourman is four wheel drive ATV but I didn't think it the name was used until the mid 90s when Honda came out with the longitutal crankshaft design. I could be wrong about when the name was used for the first time.

I would get the model numbers for both of these units and use an online parts look up to compare the wiring harness part numbers.
