800r motor

Thinking of putting a 800r crate motor in my 06 rev, can this be done
i am going to take the air box out. But will every thing else work?

It won't work.Ecm is differant , rave valve set up is differant and the cooling system is differant as well.It would cost you more than it would be worth to make it work.We had a guy last year try and he end up trashing the whole thing after spending a bunch of money already trying to get it to work.

It will work did this last year on a lynx,i used 600ho ignition and wiring with rkt ecm
plug vacuum conections for e-raves on intake side,mill a slot in upper rave valve and plug the slots in lower giljotine,use 800r air box bigger intake,you need to cut the support plate under motor 800r has deeper case water colded.

I did one last year.. I put an '07 800r motor into and '05 shasis.. But you will need the '07 wiring harness and ecm. yah the '07 airbox is better due to bigger intake hole size.. If you buy the electronics for the raves that go onto the carbs then just new bottom mounting plates for the raves and it'll all plug.. the cooling system is the same on the '07 800r but it is routed differently on the '08.. When we mounted the motor into the chasis we didn't have to modify anything but that might be because we used a motor plate that was made for an '07 800r.

The support plate under engine that i had to cut is only on race sled 440,i modded e-raves to work with only pressure like the old rave did much simple than using electrical and you can use any ignition you want will be running 2004 800mod ignition this season,
cooling is pretty much same however the water pump cover Ø is bigger in 800r so you have to make a reducer i think it was Ø32 to Ø26.
