The Ski Doo filter runs $31.99 US so a friend of mine went to NAPA and found a replacement for $6.39US, same exact filter. Cut off the old pinch type hose clamps and replace with the screw type, takes about 10 minutes. I blew the old gas out of the old fuel filter and it was black. My friend claims that his sled runs better now with the new fuel filter. Part number is 3095, could not find a price on the NapaCanda.com website but its got to be cheaper than the Doo filter.

Word of warning. Get new pinch type clamps. I used the screw type and ended up with a leak that was spraying gas all over the hot exhaust.

Screw type clamp wouldn't tighten enough before stripping out. I thought for sure they would be good enough but with all the vibration and bouncing down the trail it loosened up enough to start spraying fuel all over. I had to take it off on the hill and use ty wraps to hold the hose on.

I used the new oetiker clamps that came with my filter, $20can at the dealer. Amazon.ca has these filters for $11ea. There is also another manufaturer, Walbro 125-199 for cross reference.

Mine also has black coming out of it, caused me grief last weekend at Kakwa, when I got home I removed and checked the filter and it was about 70% blocked

Yeah I would recommend getting the proper oiteker clamps, a worm gear clamp has a tough time on such small hoses. We had a trailer almost burn down when the genset in it caught fire due to improper fuel line clamps, that one could have been much worse as it happened in the middle of a live Gas plant.

I used some real small hose clamps and they seem to be holding up pretty good. I checked them after our ride on Friday and they were still very tight and no leaks noted. Told my buddies to keep an eye on them as well but so far so good.

Just to add another filter to the list. Local dealer who always disappoints wanted $35 for a new fuel filter, I see the filter and it has a WIX 33095 part number on it. I kindly say I'll think about it. Stop at my local parts place on the drive home and pick up the same filter for $6.10 after tax. Parts guy then tells me he supplies the shop with those filters haha. Anyway, WIX makes the filter.

I've got about 4 rides on the sled since changing the filter, clamps are still tight and the sleds runs like a top. Highly recommend changing the filter if it's never been changed.
