Well if they can't hold a charge for more than a day, one would think they are shot.

Who is your cart made by? I'd suggest calling the manufacture about a replacement battery.

Or switching over to a propane Golf cart.

Hmm, is it completely cooked by the second day, like won't even go? Are you doing a full charge?

If its completely done at the end of day 1, it sounds like your batteries got old, over time batteries loose their ability to recharge, kind of like how uranium decays and gets less potent.

I'd suggest its time to pop in a new set. Sometimes they can be rather expensive, but phone up ClubCar and get a quote.

Take 'em to a battery shop and have a load test done, if they're shot your right there to buy new ones and might even get a core credit.

Have them serviced and tested by someone that knows what they are doing. All the batteries and connections need to be cleaned. The batteries need to be topped up, charged and properly tested. If you don't know how to do this properly yourself or you get "buddy" to do it that also doesn't really know what he is doing, then you are just guessing and wasting your time and money. Once this is done and any problems are found and fixed, look for any key off draws there may be. It is very important to keep your batteries clean and dry at all times. Wet battery tops conduct electricity between the + and - terminals and will drain them.

Never load test batteries without charging them first. While charging you must test the specific gravity to ensure it is increasing to certain specifications that will tell you the condition of your batteries. There is a specific procedure to follow to properly test and diagnose battery/electrical problems.
