In it's time "it was the sled to have" and for many, it still is.
I cut my teeth in the mountains with a 98 670x and it was awesome.
I still see tons of them out there because they were/are a great sled.

That's just my opinion.

Yup, the '98 to '99 670x summit really kicks azz........it is still a proven performer hill climbing(especially if a 151" track is installed) and really shines on trails and racing...... Can take on 800's......... Good reliable engine when tuned properly, and the sled does rock!!!

They are a good sled but the X has the top ring very close to the top of the piston and tends to break this off often. Not sure if I just have bad luck though.

Ya the 670 kicks ass. When I rode on one, I was 16 and 150lbs and I had
no problem at all manuvering it in the mountains,,,they carve great.

As long as its in a s-chassis96+,,,the 95 and older f-chassis was a TANK.

Not true, they are easier to maneuver than a Rev!!!!. :):):):)

1998 and 1999 are the same with DPM technology. 151 track and proper clutching will keep up with many new sleds. Ensure if it is an X that it has had supreme gas run through it because if not then engine may not work much longer for you.

they are alot harder to maneuver if the sway bar is left in the front. makes them a little tippy on the trail but man are they fun in the powder after its gone. and you get used to the trail feel.

i had one a few years ago (had my 670, then had an 800 rmk, now my apex) but it was AWESOME. was a 99 X, would just about keep up to my rmk 800 that was done up with nitrous and a ch!t ton of other mods, i only had a 136, but man with a 151 i think it would be a pretty awesome mountain machine. put a set of twin pipes on it, i had SLP and you'll have a helluva machine. but i never had any problem with the rings......just ran premium all the time, and that sled had 10 000 k on it with no rebuild, i sh*t you not.......

AWESOME MACHINE !!!
