Hey got a question about my 670. Last season the sled would not want to move till it was warmed up for like 10-20 Minutes and sometimes will riding the sled would like shut down then Sartre back up quickly. Some body told me it's was the CDI box, phoned Martin equipment they want $700 for it. Wondering of there's any thing else I could do or test it or something before I spend that money.

test the stator (the wires that are coming out of the motor] they need to have ohm readings with in spec , find a buddy with a 670 and try there cdi I don't think its the cdi thats giving you the problem the coil can be tested with a ohm meter to

As strange as it sounds its probably your spark plug caps. Always use solid top plugs with DPM model sleds and if the plug caps have any play in them it will act like it is cold and not run till the caps weld themselves to the plug. Next morning after everything cools down overnight , same thing. Good luck.

I had the same issues when I had my 670. However I never had the warm up problem. Usually mine ran good until it was ridden for about 20mins or so. My actually was the cdi box. I would start with new plug caps and go from there.

I had a 800 summit that ate two cdi boxes over the years I owned it but when they went the sled just died and never started again till new box was in and yeah $700 is a kick in the junk for those boxes if you find a connection to a doo dealer they usually jobber rate around $480 then the reprogramming to match the theft chip in the tether if u have that
