670 summit engine reving

hi everyone, i have a 1998 670 summit x and the problem i have is when i hit the throtle it revs up and when i let go it holds a high idle for 2-3 mins. then the idle slows down. i checked the throtle cable and its not sticking, i looked for cracked fuel lines and air leaks and found nothing. is this common for this engine? the carbs were cleaned at the shop before i parked it for the summer, i drained the gas and added fuel stabelizer before i parked it last spring.

Could be a possible air leak somewhere maybe crank seal???

i have a small oil leak in the pot gasket, would that cause this problem?

could possibly be. mine revs like that but only at initial start up. but sounds like a crank seal to me.
