I have a EPI clutch kit on my Grizz, and last year i also had the clutch machined. would there be any benefits to removing the clutch kit performance wise? as of now i have good bottom end, and not so much top!

I thought I heard that a machined sheave on a griz doesn't do much good,..

The clutch kit probably helps with acceleration and holding lower speed longer. What is your current top speed right now,..? Myself,.. quad or SxS low-mid range is more important than top speed,.. if I want speed i'd buy a sport quad.

Yea, the top end is'nt so important to me either, i can't really remember but i think she'll get up to 80 or so. When i had the machining done at the mod shop, Rob told me that with the 660 you can get more on the bottom end but not the top, the 700 Grizz will get both. I'm thinking now with the clutch kit and the machining work that the clutch kit is just redundant, but i'm hoping that it's not holding her back. I've had some time on my hands here at home lately, so i think i might just take out the clutch kit and see what happens.

My rhino does about 84kph with blue epi spring and 16gr hunterworks OD weights instead of the machined sheave.

With your machine,.. I would be interested to see what it's like with the stock spring and the epi weights,.. do you know how much they weigh?

i'm not sure, i will have to look at the kit and see if it says. but for some reason 14g rings a bell. i will also have to change out the wet clutch springs i guess.
