I changed the t-stat it worked good for some time but it is overheating again. The t-stat is not opening, possibly some crud, how to flush? Could i run it without the t-stat.

hopefully all will be okay for this weekend it wont be that cold outside.

Its not the issue with outside temp its the issue of cold seizure from going hard on the trail and getting it hot then jumping into some deep snow, snow hits the coolers and the motor gets a big gulp of cold coolant, the cylinders shrink faster than the pistons, the tolerances get too tight and SQUEEEEEEEK!

You can run without it but have to be real careful about going from hot to cold really fast.

Just take it easy on the transitions from the hard stuff to the deep stuff and when you take off after resting a few minutes and all will probably be OK. That's the other place that cold seizures happen with no t-stat, guys take a break and the coolant chills in the cooler, then fire up and take off at wide open, motor gets a big gulp of cold coolant.........

Just warm it up good in the AM, don't blast off down the trail from the truck, start slow, and when stopped just take it easy when starting off and watch the transitions. Other than that.............. :D
