Header back exhaust, cold air intake, and a chip will help.
www.airram.com has lots of really good info, as does www.dodgetalk.com.
My 03 4.7 reg cab long box 2wd can beat hemis thanks to dodgetalk.

Oh and cam's. Can't forget cams. I changed the gearing in my 03 as well, but being a 2wd, it didnt cost as much as if it was a 4wd.

You won't get 400hp with just bolt simple bolts-ons considering the TERRIBLE parasitic driventrain loss through that transmission, you are most likely around 285 if that at the wheels.

You will need to look into at least a cam, programmer, intake, exhaust, headers,

I have an 04 that developed the 'death wobble'!I wouldn't worry about modifying the engine when the chassis will swallow that 2000 bucks quick!Nice truck till it decides to vibrate almost off the road when you hit something bigger than a paperclip!!

It's strange, I've always heard of this "death wobble" but 03 and my dads 04, have never had that happen.
