Does anyone know what it takes to put a 3" lug in M1000? I know I have to cut it down to 15" wide but will it fit with just 8 tooth drivers or do we have to do a drop & roll? Thanks.

It will fit with the stock drivers, what year sled? 7 tooth driver is a better way to go just for the extra room but you'll need a diamond drive lite to make the 7 tooths fit.

Besides cutting it down you have to notch the lugs on the corners to clear the cooler lines, and trim the nubs and clips on the left side so it doesn't rub on the DD. They are coming out with a 15 wide 3" that I believe is bolt up and go. You'll probably have to do some wheelie control too

The new 15 wide 3 incher has the smaller nubs so it is a simple bolt in.

Are these 174" x 3"?

No they are not,the 15 wide can be had at a 162,if you want to go 174 you will have to cut down a 16 wide and cut the nubs on the diamond drive side or run the Diamond Drive Lite.

999 is better than what I got mine for and I still had shipping and brokerage fees.

I have an 08 M1000 Sno pro 153". keeping in mind I am a 250 lb plus gear rider... going from a 2.25" track to a 3" track should one have their clutches adjusted since I assume there will be a power loss with this upgrade?
