First time out on my new 162 3 inch pro and i must say it sure rocks. The power addiction head and hps can definately work well. It pulls very hard for an otherwise stock engine. I would recommend this set up for anyone who wants their pro to kick some ass!!

I'm putting a 3" on my turbo dragon and can't wait to see the difference. A buddy said that they now sell a 163 3" x 15"wide which total sucks as I've already cut my 162 down. How did the 3" pro do against the doo in the pic ?

Ya for anyone that wants to know where i picked up my stuff. Chris at Parkland sled hooked me up with all of it. Pm Chrisco on here if anyone wants to kick some doo ass!! Ya Maxwell i am Kyles Cousin how was your guys ride we went straight to the back and played in the fresh stuff. The trail of death lol thats funny! Where maxwell is talking about is the biggest hill on the trail that was icy as f$%k. The Pro came down there backwards twice. It was either run over two doos or stop. lol Good times anyways

With about a 60 pound less rider ( on the polaris ) it destroyed it ( the doo ) on a climb. We should have put the same rider on it when we tried. It was very close to a turbo pro with the same rider which i was impressed with. He was running 8-10 lbs boost.

That's wicked news if the NA poo was close to the turbo. Just goes to show that the 3" upgrade is well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can't wait to try the 3" turbo.

250 miles on mine now and loving it. Dont think it would get anywhere near my turbo M8 in the climbing, but would kill it in the slow, technical tree riding. The coolest thing about this mod is simply the traction. When you see the speedo saying 39MPH is probly is going that fast. Not just spinning the track.

So what's this set-up totaling up to $$$ ? How many hour to do this? Sounds good would love to swap tracks back and forth from my 2.5 for at home and then a 3" for the mountains.

Its about 3000 for everything you need.

That is not including your rails is it? The 2011's had tipped rails so they seem to run the track a little looser than the 2012's. Be prepared to purchase rails if you do the 163 to a 162 conversion on th 12's. Pretty simple installation but you will need to change drivers so you wont be able to swap tracks unless you have a spare driveshaft.

Thanks for the info.
Once the new chaincase is swaped does the drive shaft come out fairly easy when you remove it or do you need to remove the chaincase everytime or just loosen the bolts?
How would a 174x 2.5' compare to the 162x3" ? Just asking cause when I was in the mountain I figured this 163 is so easy to ride what's another 5.5" longer. Seems this sled is much easier to ride don't matter how long it is.

The chaincase is bonded to the tunnel with an advesive, so you wont be removing it each time. You can slip the driveshaft out and leave the case on. I honestly dont know if the 174 x 2.5 would perform as good or better than the 162 x 3". I am looking for someone with the 174 so I can do some comparasin. I know the 174 is alot less expensive of an installation as you dont have to drop and roll the chaincase. I can't honestly believe the 2.5 would "bite" as much as the 3" does but who knows?

i know this is a polaris thread but on our summits the 163x3 far outperforms the 174x2.5 the bite the 3" track has is incredible. the oonly nice thing about the 174 is the friont end stays planted. whereas the 163 tends to wheelie substantially more. but i like it that way :D
