well heres the shizz, I own a mean chute slaying turbo yammy that is for sale in the yammha section..174 - rear mount cr, ice age...yada yada....might actually be too much sled... you get the picture..

I am looking for a second sled, around 10g used with a few mods, looking at pro or doo. Our group rides cat, yammaha, doo. with one pro but he is a newbie to mountain riding, this will be his second year and he tends to fall off it alot.

I would like opinions on what to buy for those not so deep days where its socked in hard and you can only ride the real tight trees. I have had about 2hrs seat time on a new xp - 2011 and about 20 mins on a new pro. Those are my short listed sleds....thoughts, please dont bash but rather straight up opinions would be great.

Thanks

C

Probably couldnt go wrong with any sled. Im my opinion get the one that feels the best to you and your riding style. They all feel very different and they are all as good and as chitty as the next brand.

if you do get an xp ensure it is 2011-2012 just because they have the narrow stance and etec.

you can buy a 2013 p tec for 9999. is etec really 4g better?

I am also thinking of a second sled for the flatlands of Alberta, for ice fishing and Sunday riding. Has to have reverse and a hitch for a toboggan. Only problem the used sled asking price is high. Something like about 1600 on Kijiji right now.

Like PB800 said, probably wont have any issue with either choice, both good sleds. The Pro having a couple minor issues, but IMO, has more low cost aftermarket add-ons without the hassle of the ETEC. I like the feel of the Doo better, my preference, but both are good sleds, if it was my choice it would be simply based on price.

Yeah, Id say the brand new xp ptec for 10k. Nytro to XP is an easy transition. I found them very similar.

Came off a 2009 154 XP, onto a 2012 Pro, Love the pro, wouldnt go back. both really awesome sleds, XP had a little more power but the pro is more responsive to rider input, easier to nav thru tree'd areas. Love it.
