From what we saw they certainly have any erosion issues covered

I want to say this was 96/97 ish winter. Had my 95 vmax 600 and 97 summit 670.

The ski hill had hill climbs that year. Don’t think it lasted very long…maybe 3 years. Lol

Very nice... but that's not the original cabin
That is true. The original cabin was just a pile of burnt out timbers when I arrived in the valley in 2000. I do not have pictures of the original cabin nor the pile of burnt out timers. Rumor has it that snowmobilers accidentally burned down the original by mismanaging the wood stove. The snowmobile club rebuilt the cabin and that is the cabin that is in the above picture. The Green Wranglers cabin was in use then and not in very good shape at that time.
When Paul Kramer was the President of the Fernie Snowmobile Association, a decision was made to add a new chimney for the wood stove and replace the stairs. Well, all hell broke loose. The Snow Valley Wranglers at the time were “operating” the cabin during the summer months. They did not like the fact that the FSA was making improvements to the cabin.
It was decided the FSA would start the process to build an "FSA cabin” and hence the Rolling Hills cabin became a reality.
