Both Bret and Josh were running the 3.2" tracks on their Doos when we rode with them last week.

What's the most people would pay for a sled like this? (noticeable HP gain, no turbo, skid improvement, significantly less snow hangup on the boards and tunnel, 600RS clutch, 20 lb weight loss, other cool stuff that people like, etc)

If the same T3 is still offered at 14500 or so, would this new sled out sell it for 18? 19k?

I'm pretty much done buying new sleds. I'll take a used year old machine and let someone else pay the new release premium.

The X package really is a sham in my opinion. Pay out the nose for it and get very little in return as far as real upgrades. The shocks and bars and stickers really dont warrant the price tag, especially 6 months later when you can go to any dealer and get a t3sp for thousands less. When t3 was a snowcheck only deal I thought it was cool and bought one. Now its just another sled. I am excited to see something new.

the axsy was leaving the showrooms fairly easily compared to the 15 pros at significant discounts. there will be a buyer for the 2017 doo if it is a significant upgrade over the 2016 platform. The latest and greatest customer exists even in today's economy. Production could be based on spring only orders to gauge the interest for 2018. Not saying this exact scenario will happen but people do pay for features and new tech.

Deep discounts mid season because of oversupply have killed resale value of anyone's sled. My low mileage 13 is probably worth $7000 at most.

If the offering was a good, better, best. Not just a new version of the outgoing model could people see the difference and decide to go for one or the other.

XM - Pro. nothing like what we've seen. faster, lighter, better in every way. $18000. No in season version ever.

XM - T3 and 2.5'' model. 2017 almost the same as what you can buy now.. Snow check if you want but available any time. $13-14000

This is the same way we buy most anything else. Not everyone goes for the most expensive truck, TV, kitchen sink, etc. just because it's available.

the consumer needs choices and yes value is one of them. If for example the 800etech power is desireable, with certain options that majority of people want at a value price. Doo needs to offer this model to fit the needs of that customer. in todays economy the manufactures have to offer value for the dollar or people will hang on to the used product one for one more year than planned.

i have not seen a lot of talk about a stock turbo. Im sure this is on the table for snow check only. Other upgrades are moderately lighter and as narrow as the axys.

I usually buy a new one every 3 years making this the year to snowcheck, but i think ill stretch my 14 another year since last winter was brutal and i didn't put much miles on.

Im sure if my dealer valued my repeat business (i've spent many dollars there since the 90's) they would doo something to keep me. Im a pretty solid customer who buys parts and oil and accessories. A parts deal that last longer than my skis and case of oil? Something. Maybe I picked the wrong dealer, who knows? If industry dont turn around a bit I'll be riding the same iron for a while(with no complaints)and I'm sure he knows that...Maybe hes reading this haha
