If you’’’re in valemount with a desire to have a fantastic meal from a small family bakery stop at “Valemount Swiss Bakery”. It’s on railroad Ave over by the sled shop. Needed a sled repair and went for a coffee. Walked in and had an instant desire to try their pastries. We ended up having a bowl of soup. It came in a large bowl with a plate of variety breads. We were offered a refill on the soup and more bread.
Grabbed some pastries on the way out too.
Went in looking for a place to hang out for a while to wait out the repair. Ended up finding a hidden gem that we will definitely be heading to whenever in valemount.
Opens early enough (5:30 am) to grab some stuff to take with for the day.

Sorry.
Chapel great trail conditions.
Good day of snow but was tracked out at the end of the day yesterday. People started leaving when the wind picked up around 2:30. Both Allen and Clemina where overflowing in the parking lots.

Sorry folks, no fancy update this week. Have been dealing with a brutal shoulder issue so I have not been on the sled.

Its been primarily sunshine, cold temps and blue skies since family day weekend. The weather forecast is a mix bag over the next while so Im not going to guess at that and say there is boat loads of snow coming. For sure the open areas are going to be affected by the riders and the extreme weather, but for those who know where to look or those who are willing to try something new and get off the goat path, the riding can still be very good, especially in the trees and areas sheltered by the winds.

If you do try to get creative, please remember to under stand the areas wildlife boundaries and know where you are in relation to them at all times. Even simple mistakes can be very costly to our sports future.

Ride safe

Rode Allen yesterday, it’s like a concrete pad unless you know where to look. Still fun to get out though.

Here is a shot from Goat Ridge bowl (pink) in Clemina and one from Allen Creek, both on Sunday. Areas look to be getting a bit of snow out there now as I look south over the last couple of days.
