Conditions have been quite amazing over the last couple of days and it was still snowing in the Cariboo’s this afternoon. We have been it with approximately 35cms of snow in the last few days although the winds have moved it around quite a lot and the depths of fresh have been extremely variable. Sometimes you hit a wind swept area and others you are blessed with over the bumper greatness.
All riding areas groomed up fresh tonight, as thankfully you all have come back to ride!
Chappell was hit quite hard today by the riders where Allan and Clemina were a bit quieter although difficult weather and visibility likely limited a lot of travel and likely only the front ranges were hit hard.
Ride safe!

Clemina was sick yesterday, rode untouched all day bashing creeks and trees and seemed to have the whole place to ourselves

Do you have any idea where you lost the poles? I was up there Sunday Jan 21 and it was snowing heavily, so they probably won't be visible again until spring or summer.

We rode clemina creek on sunday jan 21. Had an awesome day riding. Visibility was very low in the alpine, snow was 12”-over 24” in other places and very easy to find. It is snowing like crazy in valemount as we were leaving there will be some deep days coming here for all as the forecast shows some good snowfalls for the week. Be careful riding as there are some hazards in areas and avalanche activity was noted in a few locations. The fist few km of the clemina trail are sketchy, DONT fly down the first bit, there is a large bump that could give you an unexpected ride at about km2.

Its has been an incredible weekend of riding in the Valemount area with riders being greeted with over 35cms of beautiful fresh snow. Yesterdays storm was forecasted to drop over 30cms in the alpine, and with continued snowfall this week, its never been a better time to get out for a ride. If anyone is out today, they may even be getting a bit of sun!

If you do venture out to play, please stick to low angle terrain and avoid any overhead exposure as high winds and new load will increase the avalanche hazard. Good news is that you choose the terrain you ride in, and enjoying this deep snow safely is an easy task. I won't be at crystal ridge because my riding buddy isn't a snowboard guy but i'm bringing my board with me those days. Haven't tried out crystal yet. Looks good in the you tube vids i've seen.

Does anyone have a picture of the Chappel riding area or a link to a picture? Thanks[/Q

Go to the riding areas section on ridevalemount.com and there is a file you can download that will give you the entire google earth boundary.

Send me an email and I can send you a few good pics but they are too big for this site

I tried to download it but couldn't open the file. Was .kxz or something. What program do I need to open it?
