Have a 2013 can am renegade 800 that is leaking oil from the rear end. I replaced the input shaft seal on the rear diff thinking it was coming from there but it looks like it is leaking through the splines between the input shaft and the driveshaft. Is there anything supposed to seal that? Or just tight tolerances in the splines? Also noticed some play at driveshaft where it goes into rear diff, not sure how tight that should feel? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you have play in the pinion, you will probably need to replace the bearings in the diff. Give mud and wheels a call, they have a seal and bearing kit that is good quality. Also replace the seal sleeve on the driveshaft as it is probably toast as well.Just did my 2015 renegade, same problem.
