rMotion quick adjust system: Rear spring preload and rear shock compression damping controls have been moved to the running boards to quickly and easily fine-tune your ride for load and trail conditions. The spring preload adjustment has infinite settings and increases the range of adjustment by over 40% compared to standard rMotion.

Freeride promoted to new model: The 2011 Summit Freeride sled was a hit and its success has driven BRP to expand the concept into a full 2012 model with three packages: 154, 146 and 137. All feature the REV-XP RS chassis, KYB Pro 40 shocks many trick features that extreme riders desire. For 2012, BRP has improved the SC-5M-2 rear suspension with a more progressive motion ratio that also trenches less than its predecessor.

E-Tec 800R expanded availability: The big Rotax powerplant will be available in several more sleds for 2012
GSX SE model to gain engine options: The fully loaded, performance sled segment has really taken wings. For 2012, in addition to the 4-TEC 1200, BRP will be offering the GSX SE with both the E-TEC 600 H.O. and the E-TEC 800R.

Did someone say they wanted seat storage? Both the REV-XP Narrow and REV-XP X seats will come with 1.3 gallons (5L) of storage for 2012 giving the performance oriented rider a place for their hat.

New Spring Build choices: You will be able to further tailor your Spring Order sled. New choices include track type, graphic wrap design and the rMotion Quick Adjust system.

Skandic SWT moves to REV-XU platform: In an expected change, the ultimate work sled moves to the REV-X platform and will see a 52 pound (23.6kg) weight reduction and a more flexible riding position. This also means that 100% of the 2012 Ski-Doo line-up is built on the REV-X platform.

Monster lugs: A 2.5 Inch lug PowderMax track will be available for 2012 Mountain sleds--the tallest lug available from an OEM.

Easy Adjust on KYB PRO 40 shocks: A new single knob will control compression damping on all four shocks. No tools needed.

Wow talk about storage space, why even mention it? Two water bottles? And whats with releasing them in San Diego? Typical Bombardier BS, has San Diego ever even had snow? Whats wrong with any of the mountain cities, never mind a Canadian city? That 2.5" track looks pretty good though.

I don't know what you currently ride, but if you ever rode a Rev with seat storage you miss it! Any storage is good when you don't have any built in on the sled.

Not sure on this hollow air filled 2.5" track...I can see paddles being ripped off everywhere!!!

Suck it up BRP and use Camoplast tracks!

Well since there was no mention of a motor update on the 800 to address the sealed crank bearing issue I guess they won't be getting my money this year. Too bad I was really hoping to support the Canadian economy a little but I can't bring myself to plunk down 12,000+ on a machine that needs a new bottom end every 2500 km...

That's just what I've gathered. Sure a few people will tell you stories about how they got 4 years and 6000k out of one of these motors, but the majority of stories I've heard have them throwing cranks on or before the 2500km mark. Believe what you want but the fact is the Rotax 800 has a sealed crank bearing the receives no oiling and needs to be re-greased on a regular basis and the only way to do it is to split the cases and pull the crank. If anyone more informed than me believes that I am wrong please feel free to correct me but that is the way I understand it.

yeah those lugs arn't gonna last! Im sure they could have come up with a little better storage than that and those grips on the skis? I really have not seen anyone stand on their skis when riding yet but maybe I'm old fashioned!
