Anybody have any experiences or opinions on lifts for the 2011+ 2500 gm? I'm running a levelling kit right now and can't stand the ride. Looking at putting on a lift kit instead to get some ride back. Haven't heard anything bad about the Zone 5". Don't want to go any bigger as its just a 6.0l. Will be driving probably 70/30 highway/back roads with sleds or quads on the deck.

Check out BDS I did a 6" to my Dodge 3500 and she rides smoother than my grandma's cady. I'm running long travel kit with Fox Shocks all the way around.

Rancho with 2.0 fox shocks. Rides better than stock.
Had leveling also before the lift and it road just about as good with the cognito upper control arms.

It rode as good as stock with the cognito uca's? I may do that route if its that much better

Thats is so weird as i have had both also and prefer the Fox. The ones that you have tried are within the last year or so? They changed the oils to synthetic due to problems with seals and ride on earlier ones is my understanding.
And yes also to the BDS but i didnt want 6.5 lift is the reason for the rancho and didn't feel the value for the extra $ on the Cognito.

Zone 5" with bilstein 5100's all the way around is an awesome combo IMO. If you don't mind the torsion bars hanging down, go with the zone. If you want the torsion bars tucked up than go with rancho 4" or bds 6.5". Fabtech also makes a non torsion drop kit that is 6". Cognito is way overpriced IMO. You can get a zone lift and a set of tires or rims for the same price as the torsion bar relocation lift kits. If i lift my duramax, it will be with the zone 5".

On the chev's at our shop and dealership we just do BDS as it is lifetime no questions asked warranty. The stock shocxks ride nice and smooth the fox shocks are nice upgrades but we have been upgrading to bilsteins and really liking that. The Zone kit is another good option but that BDS kit is pretty hard to beat for what you get and knowing that as long as you own the truck the suspension is warrantied is a pretty good feeling.
