Hello,
I have a 2011 renegade with a 800 etec. Recently it was having a miss fire, I found a broken clip inside the spark plug boot. So I removed both wires without thinking. I repaired the wire end but now I cant remember what wire goes where now :frusty:. There are 2 coils one above the other. What wire goes where? does the top coil go to the mag side cylinder and the bottom coil go to the PTO cylinder?
Or if anyone has a link would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
Looking forward to getting out sledding again.

Haha well they are definitely not going to fire at the same time.

I would trying looking up a parts diagram on BRP's website. Might give you just enough of a picture to come to a conclusion. Or if you someone that has a similar sled get them to take a picture and send it to you.

thats incorrect......they fire at same time and 99.5-99.9% of ALL twin and triple two strokes ever built in the history of two strokes fire at the same time or three times per revolution.

I have a hard time believing that, but I'll give it a try when I swap out motors this summer.

The 800 Etec also only fires every second stroke at idle too.

I have heard the spark timing is the same, Mercury outboard as well. you could look at the crank I guess? one every second stroke might esplain the handlebar shake at idle?
