looking at the info for the 2010 models, I can only see a few differences from 2009.

2010 models heavier than 2009 models

Different seat

Does anyone know if there are any other substantial differences?

They made the sled easier to maneuver.
-sway bar is half the size
-Steering has a smaller ratio (less steering effort)
-For people who let out the limmiter strap the skid will react more and transfer more (I suck mine up so I likely won't notice)
-And i guess they changed the front arm on the skid as well.

The dry weight is listed as higher than on the 2009's? Did they find something that needed beefing up?

They should lower the damm price since its not imported, Cats & Polaris are cheaper to buy. Thats burns me on the pricing typical BS. They should be boycotted. Maybe because their made in Quackbec has something to do with. It is too fund the separtists.

I am assuming that the weights of the 08 and 09 models were a little exaggerated (like most sled weights are), and the 2010 is probably a little closer to true weights. I am not sure that they would have done much for "beefing it up". Maybe a couple of extra pieces of aluminum in the front end, but that's all I would guess.

any way to reinforce the 08's? 5 pounds is nothing to me if it will make it stronger.

that and the fact that the tax payers had to bail out Bombardier years ago.

2010 Summit X Suspension

Front shocks:
HPG™ Plus
Rear suspension:
SC™-5M
Center shock"
HPG™ Plus
Rear arm shock:
HPG™ Plus

In addition, there are softer sway bars, a longer center shock, reshaped rails, new rocker arm, new calibrations for all four shocks and refined rear suspension to increase transfer & eliminates sag problem from the earlier Xp’s.

Ultimately, these changes help with traction on hard pack, as well as greater maneuverability in deep power and side hilling.

Hope this helps!
