The kid rides his sled hard and it does have about 4500 kms on it now but the compression is still about 115+ psi outa both holes. In the last few rides it is failing to idle properly, just slows down and sounds like its going to quit. Any advice besides changing plugs and cleaning throttle body? Do these suffer from any TPS issues like some are experiencing on the Pro's? Belt is not too tight either.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Could it be the famous voltage regulator?
I have the same problem with mine d7. Runs when i flip the throttle, but not as good as before.

Keep updating the progress, I will.

I wouldn't call 115 psi great compression Chris. That will cause poor idling and starting.

Just bought a used regulator (gonna get it tomorrow). And tonight I will be in the garage testing what the problem is. I'm going to take the VR from my wifes sled and try with that. Yes it's a D7 aswell... If that dosent work, I got a spare VR and some things to do!

In order.

1. Sparkplugs
2. TPS
3. Stator
4. Electrical grounding.
5. Go home and leave it

Hi!

Just wanted you guys to know I solved the problem. What ididn't tell was that i'm running the sled with a PC3. So after a while of testing stator etc, I took the PC3 of and the sled run good on idle. Put it back and it wanted to die...

Solution was to check the grunding to the clutchguard. I even installed a wire from the engine to the ground screw on the electronicsplate. Thats was it! Sled run fine while idleing and I got myself a spare VR =)
