Does anyone know of a good combo for a 6.0L 2500hd. K & N only have part numbers up to 2008 and i'm not sure if there was any change between 2008-2010. I'm just looking to increase the fuel milage a bit.

get a good exhaust system maybe magnaflow. the onlything i would do with the intake is just a k&n filter otherwise cold air intakes and such are a waste of money. get a custom tune done to the computer if you can. that wil give you the best results as well will give you increased power

I thought that cold air intakes were a good upgrade. I have had k & n filters in other trucks with no difference. I get the same as using stock filters.

unfortunatly cold air intakes are useless as they suck hot engine air. your current system will get you proper cold air and the stock system supplies more than enough air for the engine. i personally use the k&n filters as i do lots of driving and like to clean them whenever i can saves money in the long run. defintly best bet is a cusstom tune. those 6.0l have a mass amount of power hidden in them like some 50hp from what i was told by the guy in town here that tunes them. you can get that much more power and not lose fuel economy.

if ya take a look at the k&n ones for example they just sit under the hood. theres nut much cold air under there for it to suck.
there is one company that makes one but you need to check the other thread someone had posted about this and there is some good info in there.
just my

K&N hardly are considered anywhere near a 'quality' product or near 'top of the line'. They make fantastic filters for gas applications, but a true cold air intake does NOT bring warm engine air into the intake.

Any of the decent ones will either seal against the hood or be fully self contained and draw from the fender well or some even draw from below the engine (not so great in the mud and rain though).
