Hello all, im wondering if someone might point me in the right direction for my sled, it ran awesome the day before , then the next morning i reversed it off my truck and hit the killswitch with it in reverse but turned it back on before it died and put it back in forward and shut it down while I got geared up.
10 mins later i pull it and it wont start and so i give it some throttle and it starts backfireing and running very rough needless to say my day was done,so i get it back home try it again and the recoil gets about halfway then slams back into the sled taking my arm with it, i pulled my pipe checked the pistons and cylinders theres no scorning but i did find one plug was loose. when i got the wire off the plug was cracked, so i changed it buttoned it back up and tried again, it fired up but it was running horribly the only way to describe it is it sounded like running with the killswitch being toggled on and off quickly and it was backfiring. any ideas of what it could be....... it has a can, timbersled intake and 680 miles on it. :(

???? interesting, I have a theory but to avoid looking stupid I will let a more knowledgable sled head respond. I too have a 08 M1000 so I am curious
to hear what the problem is

Any codes flashing, have you checked your air intake for clogs, snow buildup ice build up. There is also a barometric pressure clear tube that comes out of your ecu, make sure it isnt clogged or frozen, it can cause your sled to run like a dog with 3 legs. Sounds like an air fuel mixture issue so far but none the less check all cable connections electronic make sure nothing is burned through or broken. Could be a Bad ECU as well. Just my two cents, and I am in no way a professional Cat mechanic. If it`s under warranty take it in eh.
