2007 Girz 700

A friend of mine has a 2007 Griz 700 Fi and right now it won't idle very good or start that well. Any ideas?? I don't know anything about yamaha's.

It might be the tps sensor...common on them...and it is fuel injected,,,,,no carb..

I would also try looking at the intake air temp sensor to see if it needs a cleaning, my be covered in dirt.

Is the machine not throwing any codes?

Also might just need a new plug.

Even with the fuel injection these machine foul the spark plugs and become hard to start and then they stall allot while riding. it has happened to me more then once. Try a new spark plug before you go crazy looking for something more compicated

Valves out of adjustment is a sign of hard starting as well.But these top ends rarely go out of adjustment

X2 for valves, or plug. Never hurts to throw in a new plug.

Also check your EFI make sure there are no air leaks in the boots or anything that could make it lean.
