I was in the same boat went I bought my 07 700fi. I don't know a single person that rides an Arctic Cat quad. I figured what the hell, I'll try it, as it is a spare. Gotta say, I am very impressed with everything about it. Don't let the BRP (myself), Yamaha, Suzuki guys give you flack, because they are a great bike.

I own a 2005 artic cat h1 4x4 quad. I'm a big guy. And handling one of these heavy monsters in tight trails can be a task. I love the suspension 4 wheel wishbone makes light work of bumps. Can ride all day without feeling sore the next morning. I do some extreme riding technical ,sidehill ,rocks hillclimbs ect. Barely sqeeze through tights spots other quads can get through. Over all i say it's a good quad. My riding partner has a 2006 kawa 650 v twin. That is lighter and a bit faster. But i can go anywere his can go sometimes were he can't and vice-versa. Only knock i have about artic cat quads believe it or not is starting it in the cold.Other then that i would tell you it is a great quad that has a super far riding range do to the huge gas tank. And will keep up to any newer 800. Also maybe look into the kawa 650 vtwin considering kawasaki makes the motor for artic cat.Hope this helps. Best of luck getting a quad.;)

My dad has one and it is the biggest peice of Sh*t out there. We have had nothing but problems with it. It dont even have 2000 KM on it and we had to replace pretty much the whole rear right side. Also the stater went in it when it didnt even have 1000KM on it. It is way under powered also. If i was you i would stay clear just my opinion.

I find the AC chassis' to be outdated, heavy and stiff. If you're into mudding all day, it's fine...but any length of time on a rutted trail will beat the heck out of you compared to a Bomby, Suzi, Yam, or Kawi.

I've got an 04 650 V-twin. I've got 4300km on it. It's been through hell & back. Can't kill the damn thing. I've had Super Swamper Vampires Dalton clutch kit & cheaterboxon it since new. Just exhaust snorkle, no intakes. Lets just say that everyone wanted to go riding with me, cause I was entertaining I guess!
Drowned it about a dosen times, once upside down, 4 times, completely submursed. I replaced a couple belts & clutch @ 3500km. If you want a quad that can take the abuse... Get a CAT!!!

Man there`s a lemon in every batch. I have one these and it a absolute Monster. Oh ya there heavy and won`t break any speed records, but will pull your house the street all day long, and the tight trails it`s got enough power to widen them to fit...lol. Reliable as all get out aswell, but don`t jump them or you break axals all day.

I know there is a lemon, but my uncle and dad bought em at the same time from the same place and it is the same thing with my uncles quad.

you guys got 2 lemons then as everyone I know that has a cat swears by them and has had hardly any problems, they go through hell and always make it back to the trucks at the end of the day!

i have a 2007. it is the first quad i have ever had and so far no problems with 1400km on it. some of the people i have gone quading with are surprised at the fact i have had no problems but have never gone into detail on why i like mine the only problem i have had is finding after market parts like a programmer. not many people have performance parts for this quad

These are a great machine. I sell parts for ACT's and the amount of 650's out there there aint to many problems. Couple of things to look at though is moving the diff bladders(vents) up. They tend to rub threw the hose right on the barb aloowing water in. Simple solution just take hose and run them up. Another thing to look at is the 4 wheel drive actuator. Where the acturator goes in there is 2 oring which in tome strech and leak, once again if oil comes out water can get in. Otherwise the 650 H1 engine is flippin near indestructable.
