2004 Artic Cat 400 Axle

I'm trying to find a front axle for an 04 Artic Cat 400. A friend of mine got this quad after his father in law passed away and one of the front axles is shot. Any idea where to get one for less than 400 bucks, which is what the guy quoted him at home(small town, only guy to get parts from).
