I just installed my motor, complete with new crank, this week. I'll start with the bad : the stock crank will break. Mine went at 1200 miles, some go to 3000.
The good : Comes with lightweight trailing arms, chaincase and gears, and something else. can't remember. ( theres another thread on this somewhere )
Dry weight was supposed to be just a tad under 600#. These sleds still handle great in the deep stuff, but don't expect to keep up on a rough trail for long.
I bought mine fall 07 thinking the crank failure wouldn't happen to me. 150 miles later, it did. But, even now you'd be hard pressed to get a new machine that hasn't had it's share of trouble.
I'm going to blue river next week and hopefully I have a great time (read: no failures) in that case I will continue to ride my VE and just work on my skills to keep up with the lighter newer shinier sleds.
