I have a 2000 rmk700 Twin pipes, V force reeds, boost bottle, big bore intake, I just finished putting in a 151" track and definetley need to re-gear. What is some input for gearing, I can pull around 100 MPH now and definetly dont need that fast.Gearing now is 20 Top and Btm 39, As for the clutch I am running silver Secondary spring in #4 notch, And Primary Almond with 10-62 Weights. I would like a good set up for up to 6000ft and no colder than -30 Deg C. I just pulled out 10-60 wieghts that were worn out. I had the 10-62 kickin around so I put those in for now (Not sure what that will do)
I would like to ride around Tumbler and Powder king. If I can get this figured out
Any sugestion's would be awsome
Thanks

stock, with a 144" track, it would have came with 19t - 40b gears. and the clutch had 10-56 (6-9000ft) with an "almond round".

for comparison

800RMK
stock 20t - 39b gearing, with 10-60 "almond round"

The 10-62 weights aren't even on the chart for clutching your sled...it says that 10-60 is good from sea-level - 3000'

I don't know if this helps or not , but it does give you some comparison

If he is running the slp twins like i am it says to run 10-62 for 0-3000. 10-60 for 3000-6000 and 10-56 for 6000-9000.

Hard to say then you might just have to try it a see what works. 10-62 my be a tad to high. And as for jetting psi and slp both recomend 205pto,210mag for 0 to-12.

That Jetting is almost bang on. I am Running 200 205 now. I defineltley wouldnt run any leaner than this.(Already melted pistons before) running stock jets. I am not sure why the previouse owner never compinsated when they added the pipes.

What effect does running hevier weights have on a cluctch??
it seems my engadgment RPM has not changed, If I want to climb a hill will I not have full 8100 RPM as I increase in elivation?

From wht i know heavy weights equals lower top rpm's you loose power going up in altitude to motor can't turn the weight so you install lighter ones. if your still pulling full rmp here that i would leave it alone. but if you go up it altutde you have to changge them.

A quick update, With the 10-62 weights in there, under load I could only pull
7800 RPM. 2500ft (Not enough) So back to a new set of 10-60 , still waiting on re-gearing it but it does pull pretty good so far.

Your gearing should be 19 top and 39 bottom. i ran my 2000 700 with a 136, then to a 151 and now 159 with that gearing and works unreal pulling 8200 on the tac! aswell as im running slp twin pipes, gutted air box and vforce reeds
