2 stroke jetting problem

CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH MY JETTING ISSUE? I HAVE A 2006 CR 250 HONDA. JUST PUT BOYESEN RAD VALVE,FMF FATTY PIPE WITH SHORTY.TWIN AIR FILTER.
STOCK MAIN JET -420
PILOT JET -40
ELEVATION-2050 FEET
SINCE I INSTALLED THESE PARTS IT WON'T IDEL, AND IS RUNNING LIKE CRAP.
I WAS THINKING........ DROP 1 SIZE ON MAIN JET FIRST.AND ONE DOWN ON PILOT.
SHOULD THIS WORK?
ALSO WHAT KIND OF JET KIT TO USE?:confused:

main jet wont affect your idle at all try adjusting the idle air screw.

jet up, pipe better air cleaner more air moving=more fuel

I WENT DOWN TO A 410 MAIN, AND A 32.5 PILOT,RUNS AWESOME ON TOP END BUT IT STILL WON'T IDEL....I CALLED BOYESEN AND THEY RECOMMEND TO DROP 1-3 ON MAIN! I JUST GOT THIS BIKE AND EVEN WITH THE STOCK PARTS IT DID NOT IDEL! I WONDER IF I AM GOING THE WRONG WAY WITH PILOT? :confused:
I HAVE BEEN A 4-STROKER SINCE 2001 ,AND IT IS NICE TO JUMP ON AND GO. THESE 2-STROKES ARE A LIFE TIME OF EXPERIENCE,AND LATE NIGHTS OF CHUCKIN TOOLS AROUND THE SHOP :rant::beer::rant:

IF you went down and it worked better than your heading in the right direction,but it sound weird to do all that and take fuel away.Were is your needle clip?

If you keep going down on the main your gonna squeek it. Carefull check you idle circuit. Is your carb clean? Did you check it all out? Idle circuit not gummed up or??? Pull out piliot jet and check for pluging
