Want to upgrade the track on the old 09 800 T Dragon. Just wondering if i should just go with the 2.5" camo extreme or go for broke with the 3". also going to install a Kmod rear skid with raptor shocks. I understand that if you go 3" you have to do a drop and roll and 8 tooth drivers. does the 2.5" work just as well?

I run the 2.5" on my Turbo Yami. Started out with the 162 and now I am running the 174. We did a test with a couple of Nytro Turbos last year and we found that after a track speed of 45km/hr there wasn't really any difference. Good Luck on your choice. I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you choose.

get a 3" for that control in the trees so you don't need the track speed. the more control your in the tighter trees you can ride means untracked territory.

I have been running the 2.5 extreme for the last two seasons and love it, if you go to the 3" you have to drop and roll and the price goes way up, only reason why i would go with a 3" is if you were turbo'ng the sled. 2.5 has everything you need for your application, just my thoughts.

I have 2010 dragon 800 turbo that's going to be dropped and rolled with a 3". Yes it's a little bit of coin, but i think it's the best upgrade you could possibly do turbo or not. I've personal seen a stock Pro and Doo done and the difference was very noticeable. The only bad thing with the dragon is they don't build a avid chain case for them, so you have to drop and roll the old school way but should be all worth it in the end.

I've looked on there web site and have tried to call but no luck. Please forward where you found a chain case for the dragon I know they have them for the pro($999). I was told they didn't make an avid drop and roll because the guy who builds them rode a doo and didn't build them for the dragon, but now he has a pro so that's why they have the avid chain case. I would love to install the chain case rather than the old school way!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it's way stiffer than the stock track. I changed mine out and noticed a huge difference especially when i dragged my buddy's dead doo out. We originally tried with a stock 163 poo and barely got moving, but then hooked on to mine I had no issues at all dragging the doo out. Also out climbed the stock poo all day!!!!!!!
